ALLOY L & Y RLY SIGNAL LEVER REMINDER APPLIANCE Staffs & Tablets Thompson & Co" light mahoganyThis rare Alloy signal lever appliance may have been used on a miniature levers power frame on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway but almost certainly on mechanical levers. This item was hand made and rivets hold it together, L. & Y . R . Co are stamped into the side. These reminders would be placed over a signal lever by the signalman to prevent him operating the lever in circumstances such as a Train waiting at the Home signal. Some terrible
